Out of Season

A better description for  this  event would be a "Clinic-League".  You may ask then, what is a Clinic-League?

The answer lies in what is lacking for most programs available to these little beginners.  As usual Bald Eagle takes the "typical program" and makes it epic.  Instead of volunteer coaches, our Directors are paid professional coaches certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance.  They are supported by our Assistant Coaches who are well-experienced college & high school players who are also trained by BE and Certified by PCA.  All coaches follow a strategically designed program put together by our founder Coach Bob who has vast experience and education in basketball training and programming, and also leads many of the clinics to keep a pulse to always improve our system.

Secondly, we teach skills through creative, expert developed drills and fun competitions.  The skills progress and build on each other week to week which maximizes growth and confidence, but you don't have to start on week 1 to join the process.  Lastly, we don't put them on one team through the course of the league, we change their team each week so they get to meet and compete with/against a variety of players but maintain great coaching. During the games we add in certain rules that enhance the experience for all players while also teaching the rules and sense of how to compete properly in the game.

The result is confidence, improvement and passion for basketball!  Every week players learn some fundamental skills and get to play in gently structured games. They will have a great time, get better and learn to love the game.  That is our goal! So, if that is what you want for your kiddo, the Bald Eagle Rookie Clinic-League is for you!

Daily Programming

Coach Bob, Founder of Bald Eagle Camps is the predecessor Head Varsity Coach at Los Altos HS has designed an excellent program to build skills and basketball knowledge while keeping the FUN factor at a maximum for our little players.  The Bald Eagle staff of professional high school coaches & athletes will lead skill work and game instruction for K-2nd grade boys and girls in a fun and encouraging environment.  Weekly Saturday & Sunday afternoon sessions will run from January-February.  Each sessions are 1hr long and will have skill development as well as competitive game play.

Each session starts with skill work on the key basketball fundamentals, taught by high level professional coaches.  Skill work is done in fun, encouraging, interactive drills, competitions and relays.  Sessions then transition to half and full court games, emphasizing the key principles of successful basketball.  Rules are modified somewhat to improve quality of the games and understanding by all players.  Our first practice of the season will be focused on the basics of catching, passing and dribbling with some progressions of game like drills.  Actual scrimmage format games will start in the second session.
