Just one full week of our popular summer hoops camp will improve skills and build passion like never before.
Bald Eagle Basketball Camp is for 3rd-8th graders and aims to build complete players who understand the importance of each skill required to be successful on the basketball court, not just guard or post skills. We aspire to increase the intrinsic motivation of each camper, so that they will strive to be their very best well beyond the basketball court. Campers will get high level coaching on all the key fundamentals and concepts. We want campers to walk away feeling better about themselves and knowing that their decisions and attitude dictate where they end up as a player, and more importantly as a person.
At Bald Eagle Basketball Camp we teach campers the skills to become “complete basketball players”, working on each part of their game, and understanding the myriad of roles that contribute to a teams success. Our camp is suited for all level players from beginner to advanced and we masterfully manage matchups so that each player is challenged yet successful.
Please note, we have two different programs for our Basketball Camp depending on the enrollment size of the specific location, whether it is deemed a SMALL SITE or a LARGE SITE
SMALL SITES: Los Gatos, Fremont & San Jose
The SMALL SITE program is the same amount of basketball court time, but we offer it within our patented GO ZONE Free Choice Program. In each of the GO ZONE periods, basketball is offered along with a myriad of other fun summer camp activities (see GO ZONE below). Basketball campers will have the opportunity for all the same basketball training, drills, skills, games & competitions but they get to choose if that is what they want to do. Typically they will choose basketball all day long, but the great part is when they need a break from basketball and want to choose something else for a period then they have that option. I can tell you for sure our Basketball Campers LOVE this format of choice, probably better than the large site model.
LARGE SITE: Los Altos
The LARGE SITE program is a much bigger group of usually 45-70 campers. They stay in the Basketball Camp program the entire morning led by the Basketball Director, as well as right after lunch and at the end of the day. The LARGE SITE campers DO HAVE a GO ZONE Free Choice Period in the middle of the afternoon as outlined below. Basketball Campers get the best of all worlds, because they get a break from basketball for about an hour each day to enjoy the famed GO ZONEFree Choice Period.
Overall, SMALL SITE or LARGE SITE, the amount of court hours available for basketball training is the same. But you may be wondering, how can we offer so many fun options in a Basketball Camp?! Bald Eagle Sports Camp is unique in many other ways, for instance, on the same location where we hold this basketball camp, we also run a Non-TraditionalMulti Sports Camp and a Jr.High Sports & Leadership Camp.
The GO ZONE Free Choice periods are open to every camper on campus, and it's a time for all campers to come together, so it has a FUN family feel. Kids love to CHOOSE what fun summer activity they want to enjoy (swimming*, water games, dodgeball, whiffle ball, arts & crafts, yoga/dance, soccer, kickball, hockey, indoor bottom ball, Zaber sword games, ping pong, air hockey, etc.) and GO to that ZONE! It's the perfect formula because SIX hours of basketball can get daunting so campers LOVE having a semi-structured break to go "just have fun" and choose their own plan for an hour each day. It is summer after all!
