Overview
You can't match great coaching and phenomenal program design, and that is what we are known for! Bald Eagle Basketball Camp is for 3rd-8th graders and aims to build complete players who understand the importance of each skill required to be successful on the basketball court, not just guard or post skills. We aspire to increase the intrinsic motivation of each camper, so that they will strive to be their very best well beyond the basketball court. Campers will get high level coaching on all the key fundamentals and concepts in order to become a complete player. We want campers to walk away feeling better about themselves and knowing that their decisions and attitude dictate where they end up as a player, and more importantly as a person.
THE ULTIMATE IN SUMMER PROGRAMMING
Our camp program involves and excellent mix of skill work, drills, game play and competitions. Every aspect is thoughtfully assembled to keep campers engaged, connected, active and improving. We have a unique afternoon program, our GO ZONE Free Choice Period that allows campers to play more basketball games or take a basketball-breather during the 6 hour camp day to enjoy some of the other summer fun aspects and options of our large scale camp program and campus. Campers love our basketball camp formula which is why we are one of the largest camps around. Never boring, always FUN and a growing LOVE OF HOOPS in their heart!
Daily Programming
- LOS ALTOS - Blach Middle School
- Offered 6 weeks, 6/10-7/26, 2024 (*excluding week of 7/3-7/7)

- Drop off window 8:45am - 9:00am (8:30am ok on Day 1 Mondays)
- Camp (Mon-Thu) 9:00am - 3:00pm
- Camp (Fridays) 9:00am - 12:00pm
- Pick up 3:00pm - 3:15pm (Mon-Thu)
- Pick up (Fridays) 12:00- 12:15pm (Fridays)
- Offered 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. Particularly valuable on Fridays when camp ends at 12:00 noon.
- Unlimited EC Package offers huge savings for working parents. Cost is only $140. (Unlimited must be signed up for by Monday morning checkin. If done online during camp reg will include all discounts)
- Hourly option is $12/hr prorated every 15min and does not require any pre-registration or notice (we just keep your kiddos till you show up! :)
- Late fees are $1/min when you show up past 6pm due to extended facility and employee costs.

- You do need to register each child separately, but the Sibling Discount will be tracked automatically and deducted for each subsequent child.

At Bald Eagle Basketball Camp we teach campers the skills to become “complete basketball players”, working on each part of their game, and understanding the myriad of roles that contribute to a teams success. Our camp is suited for all level players from beginner to advanced and we masterfully manage match-ups so that each player is challenged yet successful.
Campers remain in the Basketball Camp program the entire morning as well as right after lunch and at the last segment of the day. They are led by our Professional Basketball Director and a multitude of highly experienced coaches who with college and/or high school playing experience. Every coach at Bald Eagle takes pride in providing a positive experience for all players.
Coach Bob, the camp founder, designs this camp from his experiences as a college player, college asst. coach, high school Varsity Head Coach, National Junior Basketball & Foothill Youth Basketball League Board Member, Positive Coaching Alliance Trainer, youth coach (his own 3 kids!), 25 years of experience teaching high school along with a Masters in Special Ed and credential in PE. The programming is outstanding and coaching is top-shelf. This masterfully well thought out camp design will have kids improving dramatically, growing their confidence, feeling empowered and loving basketball.
One element of our Basketball Camp that has it selling out every week is our "added feature" you won't find anywhere except Bald Eagle. Most basketball camps exhaust and burnout the kids with SIX hours of basketball. Our unique formula gives them a break from hoop for about an hour in the afternoon.
Since we have 2 other camps that are going on at the same location, Non-Traditional Multi Sports and Sports Leadership, we have options other basketball camps don't. In the afternoon, all 3 camps come together in the for our famed GO ZONE Free Choice Period. Basketball Campers get the best of all worlds, because they get a break from basketball each day to enjoy other summer camp fun. But, since we do have some basketball junkies, one of the free choice stations is ALWAYS basketball shooting station so they can play all day if they want.
The GO ZONE Free Choice periods are open to every camper on campus, and it's a time for all campers to come together, so it has a FUN family feel. Kids love to CHOOSE what fun summer activity they want to enjoy (swimming*, bouncy house, ga-ga ball pit, water games, dodgeball, whiffle ball, arts & crafts, yoga/dance, soccer, kickball, hockey, indoor bottom ball, Zaber sword games, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, etc.) and GO to that ZONE! It's the perfect formula because too many hours of basketball can get daunting so campers LOVE having a semi-structured break to go "just have fun" and choose their own plan for an hour each day. Coaches
Coach Bob is the Founder & CEO of Bald Eagle Sports Camps. He has taught Special Ed and PE since 1995, currently at Los Altos HS. Coach Bob has over 25 years coaching experience from youth to collegiate, is a Certified Positive Coaching Alliance Trainer and holds two Credentials along with a Masters in Special Education. Coach Bob is a Co-Founder of TRUSALUS, a tech platform specializing in peak performance and injury recovery in youth athletes. Lastly, he has served for nearly 2 decades as a Board Member of the largest youth recreation league in the region, Foothill Youth Basketball.
As the previous Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Los Altos High School, Coach Bob led the Eagles to 2 SCVAL titles ('13,'14) and the schools first ever Central Coast Section Championship (2015). Bald Eagle Camps has been profiled in PCA's books and Coach Bob was named by PCA as a Development Zone Leadership Fellow. Coach Bob believes children should have a place to feel encouraged, included, cared for, safe from bullying, free from negativity and expected to have as much fun as possible. At the same time, children need direction on how to be their best person in every given moment.
